The teaser for Santosh Singh’s romantic drama Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan was unveiled on Thursday, starring Vikrant Massey and debutante Shanaya Kapoor. The teaser was a minute long and exploring a tender question Is love truly blind?
The teaser opens with Vikrant donning sunglasses and Shanaya seen wearing a blindfold. The visual hints at a spontaneous encounter between two strangers that blossoms into a deep emotional connection. Though little is revealed, the vibe is gentle, lyrical, and drenched in first-love nostalgia.
Shanaya plays a visually impaired girl, and even in the few teaser moments, she leaves an impression. There’s a quiet sincerity in her performance that feels real and moving.
The film marks Shanaya Kapoor’s Bollywood debut, and her friends and family showered love and support. Father Sanjay Kapoor commented “Jai Mata Di,” while mother Maheep Kapoor wrote, “Love love love.” Navya Nanda exclaimed, “Wohoooo Shan!!!” and Anjini Dhawan added heart and star emojis. Fans were equally excited, one fan commented, Finally Shanaya is entered the bollywood.” Another wrote, “I have faith in this debut, she is going to kill it.”
Shanaya Kapoor calls her debut film Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan an emotional journey, “This film has been an incredibly emotional journey for me. Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan is presented by Zee Studios and Mini Films, and produced by Mansi Bagla and Varun Bagla. The film is written by Mansi Bagla and directed by Santosh Singh. It is set to release on 11 July 2025.
This marks the first of Shanaya’s three upcoming films. She’ll next be seen in Vrushabha alongside Mohanlal releasing on 16 October, followed by Tu Yaa Main with Adarsh Gourav, releasing on Valentine’s Day 2026.
