PM Kisan Yojana 20th Installment: Will It Be Released In June? Eligibility, Benefits And How To Apply

The 20th installment under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN) is expected to be released in June 2025. Under this government initiative, launched in 2019, all the eligible Indian farmers shall receive an annual aid of Rs 6,000. This money will be disbursed in three equal instalments – Rs 2,000 every four months. However, the official date of the release has not yet been confirmed by the government.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has released the 19th installment of the PM Kisan Yojana on 24 February 2025. According to reports, a total amount of Rs 22,000 crore was transferred directly to at least 9.8 crore farmers’ bank accounts. Farmers must get their eKYC and other necessary formalities, such as linking Aadhaar with bank account, done to receive the 20th installment money under the yojana. Failure to complete the mandatory steps may result in a delay or exclusion from the next transfer.

PM-KISAN: E-KYC Process (How To Apply)

– Visit the official website of pmkisan.gov.in

– Go to ‘Farmers Corner’ section

– Select the option ‘Update Mobile Number’

– Enter Aadhaar details

  • – Verify with OTP

PM-KISAN: Who Are Eligible?

  • – An Indian citizen
  • – Have own cultivable land
  • – Not draw a pension above Rs 10,000/month
  • – Not be an institutional landholder
  • – Must be a small/marginal farmer
  • – Not an income taxpayer

PM-KISAN: Who Are Not Eligible?

– All Institutional Land holders

– Farmer families which belong to one or more of the following categories:.

1. Former/present holders of constitutional posts

  • 2. Former/present (Ministers, State Ministers, MLA/ RajyaSabha, State Legislative Assemblies, State Legislative Councils, Mayors of Municipal Corporations, Chairpersons of District Panchayats)

3. All serving or retired officers and employees of Central/ State Government Ministries /Offices/Departments and their field units, Central or State PSEs, and Attached offices /Autonomous Institutions under Government, as well as regular employees of the Local Bodies (Excluding Multi Tasking Staff /Class IV/Group D employees)

5. All superannuated/retired pensioners whose monthly pension is Rs 10,000/-or more (Excluding Multi Tasking Staff / Class IV/Group D employees) of the above category

  • 6. All Persons who paid Income Tax in last assessment year Professionals like Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers, Chartered Accountants, and Architects registered with Professional bodies and carrying out profession by undertaking practices.
