Dhanashree Verma Roots For Virat Kohli’s RCB As They Defeat Ex-Husband Yuzvendra Chahal’s PBKS In IPL 2025

It’s a historic and heartwarming moment for Royal Challengers Bangalore fans as RCB has finally clinched the IPL trophy after an 18 year long wait. The team’s victory in the IPL 2025 final was not just celebrated by fans, several celebs including Ranveer Singh, Ananya Panday, Vicky Kaushal, Kartik Aaryan and Ajay Devgn hailed RCB’s epic win on social media.

One of the most talked about reactions, however, came from Dhanashree Verma, the ex-wife of Yuzvendra Chahal, whose team PBKS was defeated by RCB in the final. Taking to her Instagram Stories, Dhanashree shared a photo of Kohli holding the trophy and wrote, “Finally no. 18 for 18. Congratulations @virat.kohli and the team.” She also praised Ajith Ramamurthy, the Head of Content and Digital at RCB.

Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma celebrated RCB’s maiden title win together. The couple was seen overjoyed with emotions as the 18 years long wait came to an end. Virat Kohli credited his family and the management after RCB’s win and said “This win isn’t mine. It’s not just the team’s. It belongs to Bangalore. To every fan who waited 18 years. To every family member, every support staff, every person who stood by us. We are champions. And we did it, together.”

PBKS played exceptionally well and restricted RCB at the target of 190 but the RCB bowlers outshined everyone with Krunal Pandya, Yash Dayal and Bhuvneshwar Kumar taking the charge at the right time.

Chahal finished 15th in Purple Cap list with 16 wickets in 14 matches, and a best of 4/28.

Meanwhile, Yuzvendra Chahal continue to make headlines for her alleged relationship with RJ Mahvash as the duo keeps fueling dating rumours. Their consistent public appearances together came after Chahal finalized his divorce from Dhanashree Verma on March 20, 2025. They both tied knots in 2020.
