India’s Operation Sindoor: New Satellite Images Show Extensive Damage At Pakistan’s Critical Nur Khan Airbase After Strike

Latest satellite images from India’s Operation Sindoor reveal significant damage to Pakistan’s strategically vital Nur Khan Airbase. The new images released by ‘The Intel Lab,’ indicate that the airbase sustained heavy destruction as India struck back in response to the Pahalgam terror attack. New satellite images show that not only two special-purpose trucks, but an entire complex was demolished near India’s strike location.

“A review of Nur Khan Airbase, Pakistan reveals the entire complex near India’s strike location has now been demolished, suggesting the strike’s effect went beyond the two special-purpose trucks – possibly presenting a broader footprint of the damage,” said a post by Damien Symon on X.

Nur Khan Airbase

Pakistan’s Nur Khan airbase was attacked between May 8 and 10. According to reviews and satellite images released earlier, precision strikes by the Indian Air Force on the airbase had disabled infrastructure and ground support vehicles at the site. The Indian Air Force’s precision strike targeted critical infrastructure, disabling two special-purpose trucks that were most likely housing a command and control facility and exposing vulnerabilities in Pakistan’s air defence system, made up of Chinese systems.

The strike was more than just a military move; it was a powerful message. As the hub of Pakistan’s air mobility command, hitting this base was both strategic and deeply symbolic. It not only targeted a high-value asset but also laid bare serious weaknesses in Pakistan’s air defence system, raising questions about its ability to protect even its most critical installations.

Headquarters Of The Air Mobility Command

PAF Base Nur Khan (originally founded as RAF Chaklala and formerly known as PAF Station Chaklala and PAF Base Chaklala) is a major Pakistan Air Force airbase located in Chaklala. The former Benazir Bhutto International Airport is integrated into the airbase’s infrastructure. The base also hosts educational institutions such as PAF College, Chaklala, dedicated to Aviation Cadets, and Fazaia Inter College Nur Khan. The base is part of Federal Air Command. is a critical facility for the Pakistan Air Force. It serves as the headquarters of the Air Mobility Command and plays a key role in logistics, VIP transport, and strategic operations. The base is known to host aircraft such as the C-130 Hercules and ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance) platforms.
