The Indian audience witnessed the release of two completely films: Bhool Chuk Maaf and Kesari Veer on May 23, 2025. Bhool Chuk Maaf, starring Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi, is a romantic comedy film with a time loop twist. Meanwhile, Kesari Veer, starring Sooraj Pancholi and Suniel Shetty, is a historical war film. Check the box office collection on second day of both the films as they clashed in theatres this Friday.
Bhool Chuk Maaf Vs Kesari Veer Box Office Collection Day 2
According to Sacnilk, Bhool Chuk Maaf on the second day earned Rs 9.5 crore. It opened to decent numbers and earned Rs 7 crore, making it a total of Rs 16.5 crore. Meanwhile, Kesari Veeri was barely able to get a kickstart in theatres on Day 1 and it earned Rs 25 lakhs, where as on Day 2 it garned Rs 26 lakhs, making it a total of Rs 51 lakhs.
About Bhool Chuk Maaf
Directed by Karan Sharma, and produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films and Amazon MGM Studios. Rajkummar Rao as Ranjan and Wamiqa Gabbi as Titli Mishra are in the lead roles, where as, Seema Pahwa, Sanjay Mishra, Zakir Hussain, Raghubir Yadav, and Jay Thakkar are also playing key roles in the film.
Set in the vibrant lanes of Varanasi, the film follows Ranjan, a hopeless romantic who lands a government job just to marry his love, Titli Mishra. But as the wedding prep begins, Ranjan finds himself caught in a time loop that resets every day to their Haldi ceremony.
The movie was earlier in the controversy after the makers decided to release the film directly on OTT. However, PVRInox sent a legal notice to Maddock Films and Pen Marudhar after the makers opted for direct streaming. For the unversed, Maddock Films took the decision of releasing Bhool Chuk Maaf directly on OTT in the light of recent situation and the heightened security drills across the country.
