Vaibhav Suryavanshi Included, Ayush Mhatre To Lead – India’s Under-19 Squad Announced For England Tour

Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Ayush Mhatre, who made impressive debuts in IPL 2025, have become the key faces of the Indian Under-19 team for the upcoming England tour. Ayush Mhatre has been appointed as the captain of the side.

The Under-19 team will begin the tour with a 50-over warm-up match, followed by a five-match ODI series. After the ODIs, the team will also play two multi-day matches. Before Ayush, the team was captained by Uday Saharan, and the vice-captain was Soumya Pandey. However, this new squad heading to England features mostly fresh faces.

Vaibhav and Ayush Shine in IPL 2025

Both Ayush and Vaibhav are part of different franchises in IPL 2025. Vaibhav made his debut for the Rajasthan Royals, while Ayush joined the Chennai Super Kings mid-season.

Ayush has impressed with his explosive batting, scoring 206 runs in 6 matches at an average of 34.33 and a strike rate of 187.27. He has one fifty to his name and has struck 28 fours and 8 sixes. Additionally, he has taken three brilliant catches in the field.

Vaibhav’s Stunning Century

Vaibhav Suryavanshi, just 14 years old, has also made a strong impression with his powerful batting. In 7 matches, he has scored 252 runs at an average of 36.00 and an exceptional strike rate of 206.56, including one century and one fifty.
