Camps Of Ajmal Kasab And David Headley Completely Wiped Out By India’s Precision Strikes On Terror Camps In PoK

As India celebrates its successful and precise strike on terror camps across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, the joy is amplified with reports of another long-awaited development since the 2008 Mumbai terror attack. Yes, India has targeted the camps that created and trained the operatives behind the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.

On May 7, 2025, India destroyed a terrorist training camp in Pakistan that was believed to have trained Ajmal Kasab, one of the attackers from the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, and David Headley. Colonel Sophia Qureshi mentioned this while briefing the media about Operation Sindoor. The pre-dawn strikes, utilising precision ammunition, were carried out in coordination by the tri-services- the Army, Navy, and Indian Air Force (IAF)- targeting terror facilities in Pakistan and POK.

“A little while ago, the Indian Armed Forces launched OPERATION SINDOOR, hitting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir from where terrorist attacks against India have been planned and directed. Altogether, nine sites have been targeted,” a statement issued by the Indian Army said.

Senior officials reported that the two major strikes took place in Bahawalpur and Muridke, key areas for the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) group. Each strike resulted in the deaths of about 25 to 30 terrorists. In Muridke, the attack focused on Masjid wa Markaz Taiba, which is the headquarters of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) group and known as a “terror nursery” in Pakistan.

The targeted locations included strongholds of terror outfits like Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba- groups repeatedly accused of orchestrating attacks on Indian soil. Key sites in Bahawalpur, Muridke, Muzaffarabad, and other areas were hit.

Colonel Qureshi emphasised that the operation was conducted with “precision and restraint,” meaning the strikes were carefully planned to avoid hitting Pakistani military targets and causing a larger conflict.

The strikes have increased military tensions along the border. In response, several airports in northern India, including those in Srinagar, Jammu, and Leh, were closed, and civilian air traffic in these areas was suspended.
