Pak Defence Minister Khawaja Asif Urges US To Intervene, Warns of All-Out War Amid Rising India-Pakistan Tensions

Pakistan’s defence minister Khawaja Asif urged US President Donald Trump to intervene in the rising hostilities between India and Pakistan over the Pahalgam Terror incident. While speaking to Sky News, the Pakistani defence minister discussed the repercussions if an “all-out war” takes place between the two nations.

‘India and Pakistan are nuclear-capable nations’

Asif also stressed that Pakistan had backed the United States and Britain in the fight against terrorism. Asif said, “India and Pakistan are nuclear-capable nations and the international community must be worried over the rising tension.”

Pak wants the international community to get involved

The Pak defense minister clearly shows that it wants to get the international community involved as mediators and it is the reason that it described how the international community could also face significant losses.

Asif warned of an all-out war

Asif rejected India’s claim and called it India’s “false flag “ operation. He threatened if India takes any military action against Pakistan, it would give a befitting reply.  He urged the US President to “intervene” in the matter.

Asif’s video went viral

In a video clip that has now gone viral, Pakistan’s defence minister is in conversation with Sky News’s Yalda Hakim, when she asks him, ” But you do admit, you do admit, sir, that Pakistan has had a long history of backing and supporting and training and funding these terrorist organisations?

‘We have been doing this dirty work for the United States’

Khwaja Asif in his reply says, “We have been doing this dirty work for the United States for about 3 decades… and the west, including Britain…That was a mistake, and we suffered for that, and that is why you are saying this to me. If we had not joined the war against the Soviet Union and later on the war after 9/11, Pakistan’s track record was unimpeachable.”

Asif’s statements left no suspicion that Pakistan was sheltering and harbouring terrorists for several decades and it is its reality.
