BCCI Central Contract 2025: Reason For These New Faces Getting Into The List

The Board of Control Cricket In India (BCCI) released list of players who have been handed central contracts on Monday. The top-tier contracts remain unchanged,  with the likes of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja in A+. But we have also seen a few new faces getting a Grade C contract.

Here Is The List Of Those New Faces

Varun Chakavararthy:

He has received this contract after showing an exceptional performance in international matches of ODI and T20I format. Where he took 10 wickets in 4 matches with an economy rate of 4.75 and an avg. of 19 in ODI and 33 wickets in 18 matches with an economy rate of 7.02 and avg. of 14.6 in T20I format. Not only this, his exemplary performance in last years IPL in which he took 21 wickets in 15 matches with an economy rate of 8.04 and an avg. of 19.14 lead him to this recognition.

Harshit Rana:

Rana got to be in this list of contacts after presenting an outstanding performance in the international matches of Test, ODI and T20I format. In which he was able to take 4 wickets in 2 matches with an economy rate of 4.51 and an avg. of 50.8 in Test, 10 wickets in 5 matches with an economy rate of 5.69 and an avg. of 20.7 in ODI and 3 wickets in 1 match with an economy rate of 8.25 and an avg. of 11 in the T20I format. Addition to his this impressive performance in last years IPL in which he took 19 wickets in 13 matches with an economy rate of 9.08 and an avg. of 20.15 lead him to this recognition.

Nitish Kumar Reddy:

Thanks to his exceptional performance in the  Border-Gavaskar Trophy which made BCCI see his true potential and lead to his headwork be recognised through this contract.

Abhishek Sharma:

After seeing his great performance in international T20I format in which he scored 535 runs in 17 matches with an avg. of 33.4 and strike rate of 193.8 and in the last years IPL where he scored 484 runs in 16 matches with an avg. of 32.26 and strike rate of 143.94 that lead BCCI to recognize his true potential and acknowledge his hard work through this contract.
