These KKR Players On The Verge Of Getting Dropped Out Of The Team – Here’s The Reason Why

As the KKR will face GT today in IPL at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. There are two players who are likely to be dropped from the team due to having fitness concerns and being blown hot and cold in the IPL 2025. These players are non other than Andre Russell and Quinton de Kock. Andre Russell who maintained a strike rate of 109.68 and averaged 6.80 in his 5 innings where he made 34 runs and secured 5 wickets by averaging 13.54 runs per over and Quinton de Kock who maintained his 7 innings accumulated 143 runs with a batting average of 23.83 and a strike rate at 137.50.

Reason Why They Might Be Dropped Out

Andre Russell:

Andre Russell the West Indies all-rounder exhibits a painful decline in his IPL 2025 performances. The tournament has brought disappointment to KKR through Russell’s unsteady performance at bat since he managed only 34 runs across his five matches with a poor average of 6.80 and a record-low strike rate at 109.68. Fitness issues stop Ajinkya Rahane from employing his death-bowling talents. The unclear link between Andre Russell’s participation and KKR’s team operations raises questions for the management.

Quinton de Kock:

The number one opener for KKR Quinton de Kock has shown conflicting performance in IPL 2025 matches. South African wicketkeeper Quinton de Kock has failed to produce a standout performance beyond his 97 versus RR in this IPL season. In IPL 2025 De Kock scored only 157 runs with four innings below 10 runs and two other games producing scores less than 25.

KKR’S Squad

Quinton de Kock(w), Sunil Narine, Ajinkya Rahane(c), Rinku Singh, Venkatesh Iyer, Moeen Ali, Andre Russell, Ramandeep Singh, Harshit Rana, Vaibhav Arora, Varun Chakaravarthy, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Manish Pandey, Anukul Roy, Luvnith Sisodia, Rovman Powell, Anrich Nortje, Mayank Markande, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Chetan Sakariya, Spencer Johnson
