Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah producer Asit Modi has recently addressed the news about the return of the beloved character Dayaben. However, he didn’t mentioned about any specific actress but fans have been eagerly waiting to see if Disha Vakani will come back in her role or not.

Dayaben to Return Soon

In a candid conversation with Indian Express, Asit Modi assured TMKOC fans that Dayaben will soon be back on the show. He said, “People have been eagerly waiting for Daya Bhabhi and I will finalise her soon. Without Dayaben, they don’t enjoy the show as much and I agree. We are trying to fill her absence as much as we can but she will return soon.”

Is Disha Vakani Coming Back?

On asking about Disha Vakani’s return, he said with hope that, “We can only pray that Disha Vakani returns as Dayaben. She is like my sister and has family responsibilities to fulfil, which could make her return difficult. We miss her even today. She was very sincere and caring towards her co-stars and the team. We hope to find someone just like that”.

New Actress for Dayaben’s Role?

Recent reports suggest that the makers have started auditioning several actors for the role and one of the candidate has particularly impressed them. As per the source of News18, “Mock shoots with the actress are underway, and she has been shooting with the team for a week.”

However, there has been no official confirmation yet.
