Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma have finally got divorced months after separating. Their divorce news has been making the headlines after the duo announced their separation and there has been a lot of rumours surrounding their relationship. For the unversed, Yuzvendra and Dhanashree married in December 2020 after getting engaged in August 2020.
Both Yuzvendra and Dhanashree are yet to react to their divorce confirmation. In most divorce cases, the couples are given six months to sort out their issues but the Bombay High Court ordered the family court to speed up the process of Yuzvendra and Dhanashree Verma. This is because of the cricketer’s commitment with IPL.
Meanwhile, Yuzvendra’s lawyer interacted with media and confirmed that their marriage has been dissolved. He said, “Divorce has been done, marriage is dissolved.”
The Bombay High Court directed the Bandra Magistrate Court to make a decision on their divorce by March 20, Thursday. According to reports, Dhanashree and Yuzvendra were already living separately since two and a half years and are getting divorced through mutual consent.
A few hours ago, both Yuzvendra and Dhanashree were spotted outside the court ahead of their divorce preceding’s.
It has also been reported that the court ordered Chahal to pay Rs 4.75 crore to Dhanashree.
Earlier, it was rumoured that Dhanashree demanded Rs 60 crore alimony from Yuzvendra. Refuting these rumours, her family member told Bombay Times, “We are deeply outraged by the baseless claims being circulated about the alimony figure. Let me be absolutely clear. No such amount has ever been asked, demanded, or even offered. There is no truth to these rumors whatsoever. It is deeply irresponsible to publish such unverified information, dragging not just the parties but also their families into unnecessary speculation. It only causes harm, and we urge the media to exercise restraint and factcheck before spreading misinformation and also be respectful towards everyone’s privacy.”
Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma tied the knot in December 2020. They got engaged in the same year. The cricketer is now rumoured to be dating RJ Mahvash.
