The Indian Premier League (IPL) will be starting from March 22 and the defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will be announcing their captain soon. While the franchise has not made any official announcement it is likely that on March 3 at 3:33 pm the announcement will be made.

India’s former Test captain Ajinkya Rahane who was picked by Kolkata Knight Riders for INR 1.50 crore in IPL 2025 Mega Auction is likely to lead. Many fans have also speculated that he will be leading KKR keeping in mind his vast experience. The other contender is Venkatesh Iyer and as the official announcement is awaited the fans are excited to know who’ll be leading the team in IPL 2025.

Venkatesh Iyer was signed by KKR for INR 23.75 crore in the IPL mega auction and he was the highest bid for the franchise.
