Ahead of International Women’s Day on March 8, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a unique initiative in the 119th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’. In a ground-breaking move, PM Modi revealed that he will be handing over his social media accounts, including X and Instagram, to a few inspiring women who have excelled in various fields for a day. This initiative would allow these women to share their work, achievements, experiences, and challenges with the citizens of the country.

The Prime Minister said, “On International Women’s Day, I am starting an initiative, dedicated to our women power. On this special occasion, I will be handing over my social media handles – X and Instagram, to a few inspiring Indian women for a day. These women have excelled in different fields, innovated, and left a remarkable mark in various fields. They will share their work, experiences and other challenges faced with the nation.”

He further added, “The platform may be mine, but their experiences, challenges, and achievements will be shared here.” According to reports, PM Modi invited these women to be a part of this unique and special initiative through the NAMO App. Additionally, the PM has urged them to discuss their messages with the world.

“Grab this opportunity through the special forum on the NAMO App and become a part of this special experiment. Join and spread your messages globally through my X and Instagram. Lets honour and respect the indomitable women power,” PM Modi noted. He also highlighted India’s advancement in Artificial Intelligence, stating, “Like space and science, India is rapidly advancing in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Recently, I was in Paris to take part in the AI Action Summit. There, the world praised India’s progress in this field.”
