Officer On Duty: Kunchacko Boban’s Crime Thriller Hits Theatres Today With A U/A Certificate!

The makers of Kunchacko Boban’s upcoming crime thriller Officer On Duty have confirmed that the film has been cleared by the CBFC with a U/A certificate. The announcement was made on February 18, just ahead of the film’s release today, February 20. Along with the news, the team shared a social media post, saying, “Officially U/A 16+ certified! 🎬 A perfect mix of suspense, drama, and entertainment awaits…!!”

A Gripping Crime Investigation Thriller

The trailer of Officer On Duty has already caught attention, hinting at a dark, intense crime investigation plot. In the film, Kunchacko Boban portrays a disgraced police officer investigating a group of criminals. The trailer’s slick and mysterious tone has generated significant buzz, and audiences are eager to see the suspense unfold.

Star-Studded Cast And Crew

Directed by Jithu Ashraf and written by Shahi Kabir, Officer On Duty features a talented cast, including Jagadish, Vishak Nair, Manoj KU, Srikant Murali, Unni Lalu, Ramzan, and several debutants. The film also boasts an impressive technical team, with Roby Varghese Raj (director of Kannur Squad) handling the cinematography, Jakes Bejoy composing the music, and Chaman Chakko as the editor. Produced by Martin Prakkat Films and The Green Room, the film is a joint production by Siby Chavara and Ranjith Nair.

Jithu Ashraf, known for his work as an assistant director in films like Action Hero Biju, Udhaharanam Sujatha, and Ela Veezha Poonchira, also has notable acting experience in films such as Nayattu and Iratta.

Recent Releases Of The Lead Cast

Kunchacko Boban was last seen in Bougainvillea, directed by Amal Neerad, while Priyamani made her latest appearance in the Hindi film Maidaan, starring Ajay Devgn. Vishak Nair was also recently seen in Emergency, starring Kangana Ranaut as Sanjay Gandhi.

Officer On Duty is now available in theatres from today, February 20, promising a thrilling cinematic experience.
