Samay Raina Takes The Stage In Seattle, US For Stand-Up Comedy Show Amidst Ongoing Controversy

Podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia, known as BeerBiceps, has come under fire after making an insensitive comment during an appearance on Samay Raina’s show. Although he has apologized for the incident related to his recent appearance on the controversial show ‘India’s Got Latent,’ Samay Raina has mostly stayed quiet about the situation.

Complaints were filed against both of them on Monday after clips from the show spread widely on social media and were deemed inappropriate. It’s also been reported that Samay is currently in Seattle, US, for a stand-up comedy performance.

The controversy started when Allahbadia made an inappropriate joke during an episode of Samay’s show. Ranveer’s comment quickly gained attention online, sparking a strong negative reaction from social media users. While on the show, the podcaster asked a contestant a question that many found offensive. “Would you rather watch your parents… or join in once and stop it forever?”

Balraj Singh Ghai, a frequent judge on the show ‘India’s Got Talent’ and one of its producers, has posted some fun pictures on Instagram featuring himself and his team, including comedian Samay. They are currently in Seattle for one of Samay’s comedy shows. The photos capture moments of Samay enjoying time with friends, playing chess with Balraj, and performing in front of a cheering audience.

Allahbadia’s Controversy

Allahbadia later expressed regret for his “inappropriate” comments, which he acknowledged were made in a “hurtful” way during a YouTube episode of his show. He shared a video on his X account just a few hours after receiving criticism, in which he offered an apology, stating that he took the feedback to heart, “comedy is not his forte”, and also said, “It wasn’t cool.”

The podcaster acknowledged that some of his remarks were “inappropriate,” stating, “My comment wasn’t just inappropriate, it wasn’t even funny. Comedy is not my forte, I am just here to say sorry.”

Giving clarification, he added, “Obviously, this is not how I wish to use it. I am not going to give any context, justification, or reasoning behind what happened. I am just here for an apology. I personally had a lapse in judgment. It wasn’t cool on my part.”
