Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif Offers Peace Plan To Resolve Kashmir Issue With India! Here’s What He Proposes

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has made a move and extended a new offer for peace to India, stating that Islamabad is open to talks with New Delhi on all matters, including the Kashmir issue

Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif asserted that Pakistan aims to resolve all issues, including Kashmir, through dialogue with India.

Sharif’s peace offer was made during his speech at a special session of the Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (POK) Assembly in Muzaffarabad, held on “Kashmir Solidarity Day,” an annual event in Pakistan to show support for the people of Kashmir.
Sharif made a statement by that “We want all issues, including Kashmir, to be resolved through talks”

Sharif stated that “India should move beyond the mindset of August 5, 2019, fulfill the promises made to the UN, and initiate dialogue.” His comments referred to the removal of Article 370, which revoked Jammu and Kashmir’s special status and divided the region into two Union Territories.

New Delhi has repeatedly made it clear and told Islamabad that Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh “was, is and shall forever” remain an integral part of the country. The already tense relationship between the two countries worsened after India removed Article 370.

Sharif mentioned that the only way for India and Pakistan to improve their bad relationship was through dialogue, as outlined in the Lahore Declaration of 1999, which was signed during then-Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s visit to Pakistan.

India has already made it clear that it would want normal neighbourly relations with Pakistan in an environment free of terror, hostility and violence.

Sharif blamed India of gathering weapons and said that it would not bring peace in the region. He said India should be “wise” and the only way to move forward was peace.

He stated that the only solution to the Kashmir issue was “the right of self-determination” under UN resolution.

Pakistan has time and again raised Kashmir at the UN, but it failed to get wider UN membership that considers the matter to be a bilateral issue between India and Pakistan

Over the time, Pakistan has raised the issue of Kashmir multiple times at the UN but always failed to get wider UN membership that considers the matter to be a bilateral issue between India and Pakistan.
