The selectors have officially announced the squad of Team India for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025. The team is a mixture of attacking and balanced side. Let’s take a look what would be the probable playing XI of Team India for the Champions Trophy 2025:

Rohit Sharma (C)

The skipper of the side, Rohit Sharma is an automatic choice of an opening slot in the side. Rohit has been a fearless leader who played a crucial role for India in last two ICC tournaments ( ODI World Cup and T20 World Cup).

Shubman Gill (VC)

The “Prince” of Indian cricket team, Shubman Gill is a young sensational batter with sheer talent. Despite being out of form for sometime, Gill might find his mojo back in his favourite format.

Virat Kohli

The “King” of cricket, Virat Kohli is one of the greatest batters of all-time. Kohli has been a backbone of the Indian team for a decade. In the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025, Kohli’s form would be crucial for Team India to reclaim the title.

Shreyas Iyer

Shreyas Iyer is probably the best No.4 batter after Yuvraj Singh for Team India in ODIs. Iyer had a sensational ODI World Cup in 2023 and also made a brilliant comeback in Vijay Hazare Trophy.

KL Rahul (WK)

One of the most balanced players, KL Rahul is a best choice wicket-keeper batter for Team India for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025. Batting in the middle, Rahul will provide stability.

Hardik Pandya

The dashing all-rounder, Hardik Pandya’s inclusion has boosted Team India’s middle-order. Last time in 2023 ODI World Cup, Pandya was injured and was out of the World Cup. This is a chance for Hardik Pandya to showcase his sheer prowess in the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025.

Axar Patel

The dashing spin-allrounder, Axar Patel is another player after Ravindra Jadeja who will play a crucial role in the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025.

Ravindra Jadeja

The “Rockstar” Ravindra Jadeja has been an integral part of Team India for a decade. Jadeja was a match-winner in the 2013-edition of the Champions Trophy. Jadeja’s all-round performance would be crucial in the Champions Trophy 2025.

Kuldeep Yadav

The “Chinaman”, Kuldeep Yadav will be crucial in the middle-overs of the game. This will be Kuldeep’s first Champions Trophy tournament.

Mohammed Shami

One of the most awaited players, Mohammed Shami is all set to make his comeback in the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025. This will be Shami’s major tournament after 2023 ODI World Cup. Shami will play a crucial role along with Jasprit Bumrah.

Jasprit Bumrah

The last on the list is Team India’s premier bowler, Jasprit Bumrah. Despite injury, Bumrah will play a major role in India’s conquest in the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025.
