Fateh Movie Review: Sonu Sood Shines In This Action-Packed Thriller

Sonu Sood’s directorial debut ‘Fateh’ hits theaters today. The film, which marks Sonu’s first outing as a director, producer, and writer, is an action-packed thriller that tackles the issue of cybercrime.

Storyline

The story begins in a small village in Punjab, where Fateh (Sonu Sood) runs a small dairy farm. Fateh has no family, so he lives in a rented place in Nimrit’s house (Shivjyoti Rajput). Nimrit, on the other hand, helps people get loans through a loan app, and this is how the story begins. The story unfolds in a small village in Punjab, where Fateh (Sonu Sood) runs a small dairy farm. Their lives take a dramatic turn when Nimrit (Shivjyoti Rajput) goes missing after getting entangled in the fake loan app scam.

Fateh starts investigating and discovers that the fake loan app is being run by a cyber mafia led by Raza (Naseeruddin Shah) and Satya Prakash (Vijay Raaz). Fateh goes to Delhi to find Nimrit and teams up with Khushi (Jacqueline Fernandez), a skilled hacker.

The question is, will Fateh be able to find Nimrit and expose the cyber mafia? To know this, you’ll have to watch the film in theaters.

Direction, Writing And Music

Sonu Sood has chosen a good topic for his directorial debut. According to his Wikipedia page, he is playing a negative lead role, and maybe that’s why he chose the topic of cybercrime.

The film’s story is good, and the actors have performed well, but the direction could have been better. Since Sonu Sood owns this film, it’s obvious that the story will revolve around him. Sonu has acted well, and his fight scenes are impressive.

The film’s action sequences are well-choreographed, and the background score is effective. The song ‘Fateh Kar Fateh’ by Arijit Singh is a highlight, but the rest of the album is not as impressive.

The supporting cast, including Naseeruddin Shah, Vijay Raaz, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya, deliver good performances, but they didn’t get much screen space. Naseeruddin Shah’s character was limited to just one room and one co-star, which looked a bit odd.

Sonu Sood should have taken more time to shoot his scenes with Naseeruddin Shah. Jacqueline Fernandez is decent as the hacker Khushi.

Final Verdict

Sonu Sood’s film Fateh can be watched for its action-packed sequences and its message about cybercrime.
