Good News for Commuters! In a significant update on the much-anticipated Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway, a section in Haryana has now become operational and open to the public. The toll collection process has also been started on the route. Once the stretch will be fully completed, it will serve as the quickest route to reach Katra and Vaishno Devi Temple by road, drastically reducing the travel time.
Key Details Of The 669 Km Stretch
The Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway, which is total 669 km long in length is expected to provide seamless connection between Delhi and Jammu-Kashmir. The expressway will cover Kundli, Manesar and Palwal up to the Punjab border. However, a 261 km section of the stretch is still ongoing construction in Punjab, reports added.
The crossroad construction for the national and state highway on the stretch will be completed by March 2025. It will take only 6 hours to travel from Delhi to Katra via this expressway while only four hours to reach Amritsar.
