Cricket Match Cancelled Post Ravindra Jadeja’s Press Conference Controversy
A controversy erupted during the practice session when Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja didn’t answer the questions in English during the press conference in Melbourne. Jadeja was criticised for his act by the Australian media. The BCCI organised an interaction with the travelling media which also included some Australian media houses. While the Indian journalists asked their questions in Hindi, an Australian journalist was in line to ask his question, however, as the team bus running late, the Indian all-rounder had to leave. This sparked anger on the Indian cricketer and BCCI’s media manager.
The outcomes of the Ravindra Jadeja’s press conference was widely seen as a cricket match scheduled between the India media and Australian media got cancelled. People from both then sides were suppose to play a T20 match at the Junction Oval, however, after the visiting media boycotted the match, it was called off.
