1,406 projects, Rs 80,000 cr: PM Modi to attend Ground Breaking Ceremony 3.0 of UP Investors Summit tomorrow

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to Uttar Pradesh  to attend the Ground Breaking Ceremony @ 3.0 of the UP Investors Summit. The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said in a statement that PM Modi will reach Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, Lucknow, at around 11 am.
Later, at around 1:45 pm, PM Modi will reach Paraunkh village in Kanpur. There, the PM will join President Ram Nath Kovind to visit Pathri Mata Mandir.
Shortly after, at around 2 pm, both the President and the PM will visit Dr BR Ambedkar Bhawan, and the Milan Kendra at 2:15 pm, the PMO said.
“The Kendra is the ancestral house of the President, that was donated for public use and converted into a community centre (Milan Kendra),” said the PMO.
The President and the PM are also slated to attend a public function at Paraunkh village at 2:30 pm.
The release said during the Ground Breaking Ceremony, PM Modi lay the foundation stones of a total of 1,406 projects worth over Rs 80,000 crores.
“The projects encompass diverse sectors like Agriculture and Allied, IT and Electronics, MSME, Manufacturing, Renewable Energy, Pharma, Tourism, Defence & Aerospace, Handloom & Textiles etc,” the PMO stated.
Top industry leaders of the country including Gautam Adani, Kumar Mangalam Birla, Sajjan Jindal and Anant Ambani will also grace the ceremony.
According to the release, the UP Investors Summit 2018 was held on February 21 and 22, 2018, with the first Ground Breaking Ceremony being held on July 29, 2018 and second Ground Breaking Ceremony on July 28, 2019.
During the first Ground Breaking Ceremony, foundation of 81 projects worth more than Rs 61,500 crore was laid, while in the second Ground Breaking Ceremony, foundation of 290 projects with investments of more than Rs 67,000 crore was laid, stated the PMO.
“The groundbreaking will see investment of Rs 80 thousand crore, which is a record,” MSME Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi told reporters today, referring to the Ground Breaking Ceremony 3.0.
It was reported that the local authorities have spruced up all roads leading up to the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan in Gomti Nagar. The local body has got street light poles and road dividers painted afresh.
Further, special lights have been installed so that a festival-like atmosphere can be created.
Also, elaborate security arrangements have been made to secure the venue.
